Job Opportunity at Safer London Business Partnership

Safer London Business Parternship are currently recruiting for a new Crime Reduction Officer to work for our Safer Westend Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP).

Safer London Business Partnership Ltd is a not-for-profit, private company operating business crime reduction partnerships in a variety of locations in the capital. It works closely with the Metropolitan Police Service and local authorities to combat crime and anti-social behaviour that impact profitability of businesses and the ‘look and feel’ of town centres.

This post will support the coordination of projects and initiatives to reduce business crime in the boroughs of Westminster, Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham. The post holder will be responsible for management of a large town link radio network [training will be provided], increasing membership of Business Crime Reduction Partnerships, intelligence gathering & analysis of information about offenders and crime patterns and its dissemination to members and other interested parties under the strict guidelines of the Data Protection Act 1998.

There will be a varied mix of day and evening/night time work which would suit a dynamic individual with the drive to make things happen. Examples of night shifts include attendance at a business intelligence briefing or liaising with member businesses in the night time economy. You will spend as much time out of the office working with members and partners as you will spend in it administering the scheme.

You should have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and have a proven ability to support active projects. You will be creative and have the determination and discipline to work to tight schedules. Some experience of selling would also be an advantage but not essential.

Due to the sensitive nature of the role, it is a requirement that the successful applicant agrees to Disclosure Barring Service checks to ensure that he/she has no criminal convictions. Applicants with criminal records will not be considered for employment. Applicants must have at least 3 years’ worth of address history within the United Kingdom.
